Trish Denhoed has been knitting and crocheting for over 50 years and feels “itchy” if she does not knit every day (sometimes for 12 hours at a time!). Again this year Trish returns to the team as a teacher, after attending YOSO for several years. She has taught at Creative Yarns in Scarborough for over 7 years, Artisanthropy in Whitby, Kawartha Yarn and Fibre Festival, Knitters Frolic and several knitting guilds and always enjoys teaching and also learning with her students. One of her goals in life is to learn something new every day so she still often takes classes herself to increase her knowledge on a variety of topics.
Trish has served twice on the Executive of the Toronto Knitters Guild (previously DKC) and has also knit several sample garments for local designers. In December 2019 she showed some of her knitting and crochet works at the Heliogallery on Queen St. East in Toronto.
She enjoys bright colours and finer gauge projects and has been known to make 11 scarves from the same pattern and 15 beaded bracelets.
Her other interests/passions include ballroom dancing, Apple products and her son and family in Tokyo.
