Like many knitting professionals, Gayle came late to the game, but also like many, she’s gone at it with a vengeance. During 30 years in advertising, marketing management, and market research, she learned she prefers to work with people, not be the manager. Gayle learned to knit as an adult and after following one pattern, decided she didn’t need them. It’s been years of exploring the fibre world; she loves it.
Her interest in fibres and the creatures that produce them has lead to classes demystifying and making the best use of yarn and being inspired, not overwhelmed, by the yarn in our stashes. Colour is an abiding fascination and cables, especially reversible ones have been a favourite technique.
Find her website at Knits From The Woodlot and subscribe to her every-other-week-or-so blog about knitting, fibre, tools, colour, food, and whatever else may be interesting her that week. Gayle’s patterns are available on Ravelry and Patternfish.
