Mary Pat McDonald

Mary Pat is an ardent knitter, inspired early on by argyle socks and peplum-jacketed suits.  As a zealous student, she’s learned from knitting’s bright lights – Lucy Neatby, Cat Bordhi, Nora Gaughan, Ann Budd, and many more. As a zealous teacher, she distills the best practices and passes them on with her own spin.

MP is known for her pink hair and love of bright colours, fondness for moebius knits, cables, and anything clever or funky. Knitting volunteerism includes four years as programme director for the Downtown Knit Collective (now Toronto Knitters Guild), and 20 years as a leader at the R.O.C.K. guild, i.e. Regal Order of Crocheters and Knitters.
